Base is Copal, precursor of Amber. Pupil is a faceted 4.97ct Peridot. Handmade wire chain painted emerald green. Note chips of Cherry Opal in dangling tear and curlicue at far right. Update 10/08/09: white is jade, red jasper. I found the rightful owner. She and I share the same birthday, November 3! She engaged me to make her a mala and a necklace, and repair a bracelet. And she gave me gifts, including a peek at her succulent navel when she tried on the belt. :-) I wish to find the proper owner of this belt which came to me in an unusual way. It will fit a waist 27 to 30 inches. It's of woven metal with leather ends. The white stones have green-blue veins, the red subtle mottling. A 13mm x 10mm pebble of ironstone split down its opal vein, revealing windows into a South Pacific paradise. Book-matched 22kt gold pendants, one of which will hang from my soul mate's neck some day. For now, I use it to travel to the tropical paradise visible through the Opal's twin gateways, when city life becomes tedious. The closed pendants can be worn as a locket. This pair came to me from Dr. W. Dudley Johnson, inventor of heart bypass surgery. My purchase sponsored his current research into prevention of brain trauma. I don't know why research is necessary. "Watch your head!" seems sufficient.

From a Yowah nut, a geode from the Yowah region of Australia. I see a forest of bare trees populated by sparkling faeries. The back is also polished to reveal sinuous green snakes.
